I have a long and varied history with sewing and quilting starting when I was 11 years old. When I was an adolescent and teenager learning how to sew my maternal grandmother used to tell me I had hands of gold. I love bright colors, pattern and fabric blending and like to give a fresh, modern and more contemporary look to my sewing and quilting projects.

I studied extensively with Palmer/Pletsch and became a certified sewing instructor. I started Sew Fitting and taught thousands of people how to make their clothing and pants fit perfectly as well as teaching beginning sewing, couture, and tailoring. My teaching experience spans more than 45 years.
Quilting entered the big picture after I moved to Arizona in 2006. I took my first quilting class at Quilter’s Quarters and discovered I had a talent for it. I launched my own web site, LSW Sew Quilt Creations, in June 2020, featuring contemporary quilts, mixed media mesh totes, home décor and holiday items and recently added section, Sports Spot.

I am getting ready to expand LSW Sew Quilt Creations with the addition of Golden Hands Creations, Quilts for Kids. My hope is this will be the perfect venue for gifts for babies and kids. I have designed a collection of Decorative Pocket Wall Organizers. Each organizer is one-of-a-kind featuring a different theme and color combination.
