A new trend seems to be emerging in the quilting world as the price of fabric continues to climb. What is this new trend? Small is big is my interpretation. Pieces created by quilters like me are suddenly smaller in size measuring no more than 18-20”. Small is big means these mini quilts can be used in new and creative ways. I have created a series of mini quilts using a smaller version of a traditional Bargello technique. They can become wall hangings, decorative pillows, table toppers, place mats, arm rest covers for chairs and sofas, doll quilts. Your imagination is the best determining factor of how to use compact pieces.
